When someone asks an AI assistant who to call, give it accurate facts about you to work with.
More people now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google for a recommendation instead of scrolling a list of links. Those tools answer from what they can read and verify. GatorByte makes your site easy for them to read and your business facts consistent everywhere. To be straight with you: nobody controls what an AI says, and anyone who promises placement is guessing.

Read case studyWho it is for
- Local businesses whose customers have started saying they found them through ChatGPT or an AI answer
- Sites built with JavaScript that crawlers see as an empty page
- Businesses whose hours, phone, or service area differ from one listing to the next
- Owners who want their services and prices stated clearly instead of guessed at
What we set up
- Every page prerendered as static HTML, so crawlers that do not run JavaScript still see the content
- Structured data describing your business, services, location, and FAQs
- FAQ content written as direct, plain answers to the questions customers ask
- Consistent name, address, phone, and hours across your site, Google, and key listings
- An llms.txt file that summarizes your business in plain text, where it fits the site
- A robots.txt that lets in, or keeps out, the AI crawlers you choose
How it works
AI search visibility, step by step.
01
Read like a crawler
We check what your site looks like with JavaScript off and what facts about you are already out there.
02
Fix the facts
Business details are made consistent across the site and listings, and gaps are filled.
03
Make it readable
Prerendered pages, structured data, FAQ answers, and llms.txt give AI tools clear material.
04
Check in
We periodically ask the tools about your business and watch for referrals from them in analytics.

Local SEO add-on for ongoing listings and local search support
Prerendered pages and structured data come with every site built under the Launch package ($1,000, then $100/mo). Keeping listings consistent over time fits the $50/mo Local SEO add-on. Work on a site we did not build starts with a free audit and is quoted.
Questions
AI search visibility: common questions.
Can you get ChatGPT to recommend my business?
No one can guarantee it. AI tools decide their own answers. What we can do is make your site readable to them (prerendered HTML), describe your business with structured data, and keep your details consistent across listings, so they have clear, accurate information to work from.
What is llms.txt?
It is a plain-text file at the root of a website that summarizes who you are, what you offer, and where to find key pages, written for AI tools. It is a proposed convention, not a standard, and not every AI tool reads it, so we treat it as one helpful piece rather than the whole job. GatorByte publishes one for its own site.
Is this different from SEO?
It overlaps heavily. The same groundwork that helps search engines, like readable pages, structured data, and consistent business details, is what AI tools rely on. The main additions are FAQ-style answers and making sure your facts are stated plainly enough to be quoted.
Should I block AI crawlers?
That is your call. Blocking them keeps your content out of their training and answers, which also means they know less about you. We set robots.txt to match whatever you decide.
How will I know if it is working?
Some AI tools send visitors with a recognizable referrer, which shows up in analytics, and you can ask the tools directly about your business. We do not promise a particular result.
