How much does a website cost on the Northshore?
GatorByte builds a custom 1-3 page website for $1,000 one-time, then $100/month for managed hosting, security, monitoring, and small updates. Local SEO is a $50/month add-on. Extra pages, photography, logo design, and marketing material are quoted up front.
How long does a website take?
A 1-3 page launch site is typically live in 1-2 weeks once direction and content are confirmed. Larger sites and software projects take longer and are scoped up front.
Do you work with contractors, HVAC companies, restaurants, and other local businesses?
Yes. Can you redesign my existing Wix or Squarespace site?
Yes. We rebuild it as a custom site that is mobile-first, prerendered as static HTML, and hosted on managed Netlify hosting, then connect it to your existing domain. A redesign that becomes a custom 1-3 page site uses the same $1,000 Launch package.
Do you help with Google Business Profile and local search?
Yes. Every build includes local SEO foundations and help setting up or optimizing your Google Business Profile. The Local SEO add-on ($50/month) adds Google Business Profile, location pages, and ongoing local search support. We do not promise rankings.
Do I own my website?
Under our terms, once the project is paid in full you own your website content and copy, the custom design elements created for your project, and the images and media you provided. GatorByte keeps the rights to its underlying code frameworks, templates, and general design patterns.
Where are you located, and can I meet in person?
Our office is at 21385 Marion Ln, Suite A, Mandeville, LA 70471, and meetings are by appointment. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and the phone, (985) 304-2983, is answered 24/7. We work with businesses across the Northshore, including Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville, Abita Springs, Slidell, Hammond, Metairie, and New Orleans.
Who will I work with?
GatorByte was founded in 2023 by Joe Saba and is run by Joe and Eli Saba. You work directly with them, with no account managers in between.
What happens after launch?
Your site moves onto the $100/month care plan: managed hosting on Netlify, SSL, security monitoring and updates, 24/7 uptime monitoring, backup management, small text and image updates, and technical support. Care-plan clients also get a monthly report on uptime, speed, and inquiries.
Will my site show up in ChatGPT and AI search?
No one can guarantee it. We build sites that AI crawlers can read (every page is prerendered as static HTML), add structured data that describes your business, and keep your business listings consistent, so AI tools have clear, accurate information to work from.
