SaaS development from a team that runs its own SaaS products.
Building a SaaS product is not just writing features. It is accounts and permissions, tenants that stay separate, data that survives every release, and support after launch. GatorByte builds and operates its own products, AuditGrid, Oblidex, TraceLock, FloraTrax.ai, and Dysplyn, so founders get engineering leadership from people who carry the same pager.

How it works
SaaS development, step by step.
01
Frame the product
Who it is for, the problem it solves, and the smallest version worth putting in front of customers.
02
Design the system
Data model, tenancy, permissions, and core screens are designed before heavy building starts.
03
Ship in increments
Weekly checkpoints and working releases, so you can show real software early.
04
Operate and iterate
Monitoring, fixes, and the next set of features as real customers use it.
Price
SaaS work runs as a Product engagement, scoped on a call and quoted as a fixed-scope budget or transparent time and materials. We can work with founders anywhere in the U.S., remotely.
Questions
SaaS development: common questions.
What SaaS products has GatorByte built?
GatorByte builds and operates AuditGrid (healthcare insurance audit automation, from case creation to payment reconciliation), Oblidex (compliance automation for certification tracking and audits), TraceLock (field operations for fire safety inspections), FloraTrax.ai (AI-assisted nursery and landscaping operations), and Dysplyn (a productivity app).
Can you build healthcare or HIPAA software?
We built AuditGrid to HIPAA-aligned engineering practices. GatorByte holds no SOC 2 report today; a SOC 2 Type I audit is planned. Your own compliance obligations remain yours, and we are clear about what we can and cannot attest to.
Can you build an MVP?
Yes. We help you decide the smallest version that real customers will pay for or use, and build it on foundations like accounts, permissions, and a sound data model, so it does not need to be thrown away once it works.
Do you only work with Louisiana companies?
No. GatorByte is based in Southeast Louisiana and can work with founders and teams anywhere in the U.S., remotely.
Will I be working with a project manager?
No. You work directly with Joe and Eli Saba, including the engineer building your product, with no account managers in between.
