Rider Event Rentals

GatorByte designed and built the website for Rider Event Rentals, a family-owned event rental company in Covington, Louisiana, launched in October 2026.

An event rental website for a family-owned Northshore business: customers see what is free on their date and send a booking request online, and the owner runs inventory, prices, and bookings from a staff console.

The challenge

What the business actually needed.

A family-owned rental company needed customers to see what was free on their date and send a complete booking request online, instead of checking every date and delivery by phone and text.

Our approach

How we thought about the build.

Before the site, every booking ran through texts: whether there were enough chairs for a date, how far away the delivery was, and whether a deposit had come in. Customers could not see what was available.

We built a catalogue customers can book from. Every item has its own availability calendar, and the days on either side of a booking are held for delivery and cleaning, so a turnaround day is never double-booked. Delivery is priced from the customer's ZIP code using the owner's own rate sheet, and an address outside the normal range becomes a quote request instead of a wrong price.

Customers send a reservation request and agree to the rental terms. The owner approves it before any money changes hands, and a 50% deposit then locks in the date. Behind the site, a staff console manages items, photos, prices, tablecloth colors, tax rates, and bookings, records cash, check, and Venmo payments, and puts every booking on the owner's Google Calendar.

Key features

What actually shipped.

01

Live Availability

Customers pick a date and see how many of each piece are free, down to the last chair.

02

Delivery by ZIP Code

Delivery and sales tax are worked out from the customer's ZIP code as the order is built.

03

Request, Approve, Deposit

The owner approves each request before a deposit is taken, so no date is promised by accident.

04

Staff Console

Items, photos, prices, colors, payments, and bookings are managed without a developer.
